CROSS COUNTRY SKIING - We are currently grooming our own ski trail right from River View along the scenic Moose River. The trail is for skiing & snowshoeing only, no snowmobiles to spoil your peace and tranquility. Trail use is free for our guests.

WINTER SPORTS - We have a mid-week lodging special in winter for our guests. The local area offer cross country skiing and dogsled racing keep checking back for more information.

SNOWMOBILING - Three groomers smooth our 135 miles of trail system - which are accessible from you cottage door. Jackman is the hub of the northern Maine ITS, and connects to Greenville, Canada, Rockwood, The Forks, Stratton and beyond. We're on the Canada/Rockwood trail.

ICE FISHING - We have six lakes and ponds in the immediate area open to ice fishing for salmon, trout and lake trout. If you want to help us in our goal to rid the state of yellow perch, you can have all of them you want too - plus it's an action-filled day for youngsters.

WILDERNESS ADVENTURES - Hike, bike, snowshoe or paddle a canoe. There are trails for all kinds of outdoor enthusiasts. There is also whitewater rafting available in the area. DIRECTIONS - Route 201 North to Jackman. After the bridge over the Moose River turn right at the Border Trust Bank. Then take the next right onto River Road. It's about a mile to River View Cottages, which are at the end of River Road, and located along the Moose River.
